This location was chosen because one of our crew members works at the cafe and therefore we were easily allowed permission to film there for free. Not only this, but it's in the main street of town, so there are always people walking around making t

he shots look visually interesting, and the cafe is nice and spacious for cameras etc to be set up. 

Location 3: Priory Pond

This location is nice for a quick scene showing how the characters like to make films. It's a brief plot point but it aids the narrative through its initial introduction to the plot. This location is free to use, and it allows some nice shots of the wildlife and the town pond. 

Location 3: Bodmin Jail

Bodmin Jail, its interior and exterior, is the main location of the short film because it has the dark eeriness that would be present in an abandoned asylum, along with the old stone buildings. This location is also in Bodmin and therefore it is easy to travel to. It’s also large enough to have the amount of actors and extras that are needed on set. Payment will be necessary for use of this location, but being a popular venue for films, music videos and even parties, it will accommodate our needs. This location has cells, which allows our film to look really like an old asylum, so it's worth the small price pp to enter and film for the day.

Location 4: Bodmin College

For the final scene at the police station it would be easier to use a conference room at the college as it looks real enough and will require no transportation or cost. It's also easy for the teachers that are acting as the police officers as they don't have to take time out of teaching to film, it can be done in break or tutor time and so won't clash with any of our lesson time.
